At guru krupa special school, we firmly believe that knowledge is the key to freedom and selfsustenance. In the rapidly advancing 21st century, no one should be left behind without the right opportunties and support. Children and young adults with intellectual disabilities, particularly from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, are at risk of falling behind in the race to the next gen.

These children, who have often been confined to their homes, now have the chance to experience freedom. We provide them with knowledge and tools to live a life of equal opportunity. Our journey began in the academic year 2016 with eight students, driven by the goal of offering education and vocational skills to intellectually disabled children and young adults. As of 2023, we have grown to a community of 37 students. In july 2023, the pollachi branch was inaugurated with 5 students. These two locations have been supported by 3 therapists, 9 teaching staff, and 2 non-teaching staff.
